The New Silk Road shopping center attracted a deluge of visitors from all around China during its trial operation and opened in Pingtan on July 16.

Xu Weize, director of Pingtan's administrative committee, went to Jinjingwan area on May 10, to inspect the progress of a cross-border e-commerce project there.
Pingtan, Fujian province shall take advantage of its island location to make itself a significant place for water sports events, said Yu Zaiqing, vice president of the International Olympic Committee.
