Children from Bingdong Primary School chose post-it notes from a board containing the wishes and needs of senior residents at Bingsan community on Qiaodong Street, Taiyuan city, Feb 2.
A service workstation for people in need was established in Qiaodong Street, Yingze district, Taiyuan, on Dec 29, with 22 volunteers from all walks of life selected as staff members in the first batch of volunteers.
A speech competition themed around the pioneers of the new era came to a close in Taiyuan, North China’s Shanxi province, with its sixth session held on Jan 16, according to local media.
