Sports career:
She began table tennis training as a primary school pupil in 1975, and joined the Hubei provincial table tennis team in 1980 and the national team in December 1987.

At Present:
Qiao went to Japan after the 1996 Olympic Games where she played for Panasonic Electric Co. Ltd. After returning to China in June 1997 for the 8th National Games, she continued to be a player and coach for Panasonic Company in 1998. She came back again to represent Shandong Luneng Team in the National Table Tennis Clubs League in 2000. Then she studied education at Sports Science Institute of South China Normal University during September 2001 and 2003 and attained a Bachelor's degree. After that, she became the coach of the national table tennis team since January 2003.
