Chengdu's expo won praise from foreign guests

The ongoing World Biomaterials Congress (WBC), held in China for the first time, has attracted more than 3,000 biomaterials researchers from home and abroad.??
All the guests who attended were impressed by this year's WBC.
"The facilities are exceptional, the hospitality of the Chinese people and the support of the Chengdu government are extraordinary," said Nicholas Peppas, chairman of the International Union of Societies for Biomaterials Sciences and Engineering.
"This is the biggest congress I've ever seen, and everything is done so nicely," said Muhammad Jahan, a professor of physics from the University of Memphis. He knew little about Chengdu --except for the giant panda-- before he came. Now he is falling in love with the city.
"It's a very big and beautiful city, the environment is wonderful and people are nice and warm," he told China Daily.
The congress has attracted not only experts in the biomaterials field, but also many locals. A group of students from Chengdu No 7 High School felt excited to attend in such a top international event.
One of the teachers said, "Our students are interested in biomaterials, physics, chemistry, and also wanted to learn English, so we told them to come."
"It's an unforgettable memory," one of the students said, "although some words are quite difficult and the content is too professional for me, I'm glad to be part of such an experience."
A group of volunteers wearing green T-shirts also attracted people's attention. Nearly 300 volunteers provided their services during the congress. "These young people here are very excited and enthusiastic," said Nicholas Peppas.
