'Comedy king' jokes about gold rumor

China's "comedy king" Zhao Benshan denied rumor that 20 tons of gold have been found at his home on Thursday, reported chinanews.com. Zhao turned up at a performance in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China's Liaoning province on Thursday, and responded to the rumors.

"Everyone said I hid 20 tons of gold at home. Even I myself was persuaded into believing that. So this morning, I searched every corner of my home, only to find nothing." He joked. "I bet you guys, if I do have 20 tons of gold, I will hand out them to you."

Rumors regarding Zhao's arrest and 20 tons of gold went viral online recently.
