Wang Cangbai, a senior lecturer at the University of Westminster, will talk about the definition of China during Discover Chinese Language and Culture on Monday in room RS315 of the Regent Street campus in London. Wang will discuss how culture, civilization, and the nation-state all define China, and talk about the "Chinese dream". Wang earned his bachelor and master's degrees at Peking University and his PhD at the University of Hong Kong.

Cyclist takes a ride down memory lane after epic trip

Adventurer and mountaineer Michael Whelan will talk about his travels in China on Tuesday at Central Arts, Parade Quay, Waterford, Ireland. During Borderline－Cycling the Silk Road with Michael Whelan, he will share memories from a trip he made in April 2016, during which he cycled from Islamabad in Pakistan to Kashgar in China.

Young China Watchers to debate post-Brexit impact

The London branch of Young China Watchers will visit Parliament for the seminar China-Europe Economic Relations After Brexit on Monday. The session, in Committee Room 9 at the House of Commons, will feature John Farnell, a senior advisor at the EU-Asia Centre in Brussels, and an academic visitor at the China Centre at the University of Oxford. The event will be hosted by the All-Party Parliamentary China Group.

Jingzhe season set to start as whole country warms up
