BEIJING -- China and Japan will hold the fourth round of high-level political dialogue during the Japan visit of Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi.

Yang will visit Japan from May 29 to 31 at the invitation of Japan's National Security Advisor Shotaro Yachi, said foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang in a press release.

The two officials will co-chair the new round of talks.

The third round of talks was held in August 2016 in Beijing.
