A Greek Canadian singer is seeking a personal development in China. George Sapounidis, who is an statistician in Ottawa, took a fancy to Chinese songs and has begun to study the Chinese language and culture.

For the past few years, George has been to many parts of China, singing China's folk songs at different art festivals. Wherever he was, he was warmly welcomed by local people.

George says he has two wishes: to perform at the Spring Festival Gala show of China Central Television and at the closing ceremony of the Athens Olympic Games in the summer of this year. Well, George is working hard towards the objectives.  Listen
