China's 2004 Gross Domestic Products growth remains unrevised at 9.5 percent, according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

Last month, the statistics bureau announced preliminary figures for the country's economic growth in 2004, showing China's GDP grew at 9.5 percent to 1.66 trillion US dollars.

The NBS said other major economic figures, including the consumer price index, retail sales, fixed-asset investments and industrial value-added output did not change either. China is trying to make the country's complicated statistics more scientific and accurate.

Starting this year, the government will release a preliminary figure first and follow with a formal economic report, with possible revisions.
