Thursday, Aug. 25, 2005. The first-ever China-Russia military exercises,
dubbed 'Peace Mission 2005,' ended Thursday after successful maneuvers of
10,000 troops from the Russian and Chinese navy, air force, army and
paratroops. Chinese Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan and his Russian
counterpart Sergei Ivanov attended the closing ceremony and reviewed the
