Davis, Wade earn NBA Players of the Week honors

NEW YORK (AFP) - Golden State guard Baron Davis has again been named the
National Basketball Association Western Conference Player of the Week.

after averaging 21 points and 13 assists, leading the Warriors to three wins.
Davis has been the recipient of the honor three of the last eight times it
has been awarded.
After producing 17 points and nine assists in a 99-83 victory over the New
Orleans Hornets on Monday, Davis recorded season highs of 25 points and 16
assists in a 113-106 win at Sacramento two nights later.
He completed the week with 21 points and 14 assists in a 107-100 win over
Charlotte on Friday.
Forward Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat received Eastern Conference honors
after averaging 28 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists in four games. Wade
matched his season high with 33 points in a 107-94 victory over the New York
Knicks on Monday.
Wade also matched a franchise record with five steals to go with 20 points in
a 96-74 win over Atlanta two nights later.
Other nominees in the East included Richard Hamilton of Detroit, Allen
Iverson of Philadelphia, Paul Pierce of Boston and Chris Bosh of Toronto.
Also nominated in the West were Boris Diaw of Phoenix, Rashard Lewis and Ray
Allen of Seattle and Jason Terry of Dallas.
