Wunderkind的意思是“神童，少年得志者，有巨大成就的青年人”。它是一個德語詞匯，由Wunder（wonder）和Kind（child）組合而成。既可以指a child prodigy（天才、神童），也可以指one who succeeds in a competitive or highly difficult field or profession at an early age（在少年時就在競賽、非常困難的領(lǐng)域或者專業(yè)方面取得成功的人）
