Orlando Bloom has painted the outside of his LA mansion completely black.

Most homes on the actor's street, Outpost Drive, are coloured white to help reflect the sun.

Bloom's decision has shocked local residents, including fellow Hollywood stars Charlize Theron and Scarlett Johansson.

A neighbour told The Sun: "Charlize and Scarlett were a bit taken aback. Most go for white, but Orlando went completely the other way.

"It’s a bit weird, but that’s Orlando - he’s an original guy. Maybe he’s been listening to 'Paint it Black' by the Rolling Stones."
