Angelina Jolie has confirmed in a television interview to be broadcast later Wednesday that she is expecting twins with partner Brad Pitt, Access Hollywood reported.

The 32-year-old actress, who has made no attempt to hide her large baby bump in numerous recent public appearances, confirmed that she is pregnant with twins in an interview with NBC's Today show.

The interview took place in Cannes, where Jolie was promoting her latest movie, animated children's film "Kung Fu Panda" with fellow actor Jack Black.

Access Hollywood will air the interview on US television later Wednesday, with Today broadcasting to breakfast audiences on Thursday.

Spokespeople for Jolie and Pitt were not immediately available for comment.

The twins will be Jolie and Pitt's fifth and sixth children.

Pitt, 44, and Jolie, 32, also are parents to adopted Cambodian son Maddox, six; four-year-old Vietnamese son Pax; three-year-old Ethiopian daughter Zahara and biological daughter Shiloh, who was born in Namibia in May 2006.

Pitt and Jolie met on the set of their 2005 film "Mr and Mrs Smith" and later began a romantic relationship.

Pitt was previously married to "Friends" star Jennifer Aniston, while Jolie has been married twice before.
