For adventurous kids, Reima is a good fit

With its midnight sun, northern lights, thousands of lakes and islands, and the northernmost national capital in the world, Finland is a country of adventure.

Recognizing that children want to enjoy adventures of their own while being able to move and play freely in all conditions, Reima is dedicated to providing them with high-quality, functional and innovative clothing.

Reima's history dates back to 1944, when it began operating as a manufacturer of work clothes for women. It soon turned its attention to children's clothes.

"We invest in children's welfare, and we want to guarantee children the freedom to be active and free in any weather," said Reima CEO Elina Bjorklund.

"Reima's products are of the highest quality and we ensure testing of our garments by brutal test teams - the children themselves," Bjorklund said.

It uses dirt-repellent materials that require minimal amounts of water and detergents when cleaned. Selected materials are tested for wear and tear for at least six months and must pass meticulous laboratory tests before being approved for production.

Reima's manufacturing processes are free of chemicals, ensuring maximum comfort in wear.

Building on the momentum created by growth in the domestic market and global successes, Reima is now focusing its efforts on China. Today, its products are available in two high-end shopping malls in Beijing.

"Through our recently opened stores, we are embarking on an adventure into the Chinese market," Bjorklund said. "As we take these important steps into China, we understand that children have always been a central part of Chinese culture. The Chinese respect Finnish brands, and we want to reach out to urban families in China with the message that an active child is a happy child.

"We are determined to take care of the next generation. We will provide our customers with quality products as they encourage their children to play, learn and explore."
