江蘇省兩會今年首推英文版政府工作報告
First English version of Jiangsu government work report is released

江蘇省十一屆人大五次會議將于2月9日-13日在南京召開。大會主要任務有7項，目前各項工作已經(jīng)準備就緒。另外 ，與往年不同的是，本次大會將有23位外籍人士參加，并將首次拿到省政府工作報告的“英文版”。
According to a news briefing of the general office of the Standing Committee of Jiangsu Provincial People’s Congress on February 6, 2012, the English version of the Jiangsu government work report will be provided for the first time to around 20 foreign sitters-in at the forthcoming Fifth Session of the 11th Jiangsu Provincial People’s Congress on February 9.
The Session will continue the practice of the Fourth Session and has invited 23 foreign sitters-in including officials from consulates general in Shanghai, delegates from the Jiangsu office of the Jiangsu Friendly Province/State and executives of foreign enterprises in Nanjing to debrief the government work report.
For foreigners to better understand the economic and social development of Jiangsu Province as well as the content of the report, the Session will translate the main ideas of the report into English for the first time and deliver the English version to foreign participants before the meeting.
The Session will open on February 9 in Nanjing and conclude on the morning of February 13 after a scheduled meeting period of 4 and a half days. A total of 801 delegates are supposed to attend the meeting.
