Internet security a priority, Chinese president tells tech executives
習(xí)近平會(huì)見美科技巨頭：網(wǎng)絡(luò)安全是首位

Chinese President Xi Jinping told a group of US and Chinese technology executives Wednesday that the country would give priority to a secure Internet, and defended the rights of countries to impose their own regulations on domestic Internet development.
中國國家主席習(xí)近平23日會(huì)見中美科技產(chǎn)業(yè)界領(lǐng)袖時(shí)說，中國將優(yōu)先打造安全的網(wǎng)絡(luò)環(huán)境，捍衛(wèi)各國推行本國網(wǎng)絡(luò)發(fā)展條規(guī)的權(quán)利。

“A secure, stable and prosperous cyberspace is of great significance” to the world, Xi said after posing for a photo with dozens of executives at the conclusion of the annual US-China Internet Industry Forum held at the Microsoft campus in Redmond.
在雷德蒙德微軟研究院舉行的中美年度互聯(lián)網(wǎng)論壇閉幕式上，習(xí)近平和數(shù)十位企業(yè)的董事合影。合影結(jié)束后他表示，“一個(gè)安全、穩(wěn)定、繁榮的網(wǎng)絡(luò)空間”對(duì)世界“具有重大意義”。

The US and China must work toward that goal together, he said.
他說，美國和中國必須共同向那個(gè)目標(biāo)努力。

Language tips:

To give priority to意思是“優(yōu)先考慮，給……以優(yōu)先權(quán)”，例如：The scholarship gives priority to the children of low-income families.（這個(gè)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金優(yōu)先考慮低收入家庭的孩子。）
