Formalities for seeking employment in China

Foreigners seeking employment in China shall first apply to the Chinese embassies, consulates, consular offices for an employment visa and enter China holding an employment visa. Ordinary foreigners applying for working in China shall apply for a Z visa. Foreigners of high talent who are needed or specialists who are urgently needed shall apply for an R visa. After entering China, foreigners need to apply for foreigner employment permit and foreigner residence permit before they are employed in China.
