Abstract: The DRC's research report No 148 says that China's patent system displays?weakness concerning protection of?patents, unclear patent standards, and high maintenance costs.?
The?country?needs to improve the enforcement of?intellectual property rights, and also to introduce stiffer penalties and simpler patent approval procedures.
