DRC President visits France for the Silk Road Forum 2018

Li Wei, President of the Development Research Center of the State Council (DRC), led a delegation to France from December 6 to 10.
The delegation attended the fourth Silk Road Forum and the Silk Road Think Tank Network (SiLKS) Annual Meeting 2018 in France.

Li delivered a keynote speech on enhancing cooperation and promoting the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative on December 7. Wang Yiming, Vice-President of DRC, hosted the first session of the forum titled “Belt and Road Initiative and an open world economy”. Yu Bin, Director General of the General Office of DRC, delivered a speech at the welcome banquet.
More than 300 delegates from 35 countries and regions participated in the fourth Silk Road Forum.
The SiLKS Annual Meeting 2018 was held on December 7. More than 40 delegates from 24 think tanks, six international organizations, and four multinational enterprises attended the event.

Li met with Frédéric Mion, President of Sciences Po, on December 6. They exchanged views on future cooperation between DRC and Sciences Po.
Li met with Vuk Jeremi?, President of the Center for International Relations and Sustainable Development, on December 8. They exchanged views on global and European political and economic situation, Belt and Road Initiative, and future cooperation between the two sides.
The delegation also visited Sciences Po and Air Traffic Control Center of the Thales Group in Paris.
