A total of 24 Taiwan construction companies have registered in the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone in Fujian province since 2012, ptnet.cn reports.

Taiwanese construction firms, once put on the record in Pingtan, are allowed to carry out construction activities except for engineering investigations, based on regulations by Fujian’s housing and construction authority.

Currently there are 95 registered construction companies in Pingtan, including 28 general contractors, 16 professional contractors, 16 labor subcontractors and 10 urban garden greening enterprises.

The boom of construction is due to the full-scale infrastructure development in Pingtan in recent years. Authorities have also rolled out incentives and improved services for these enterprises, according to an employee with the local construction bureau.
