Donghu Park is located in the east of Xingren county, in the Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture.
The park was built in 1998 and opened to the public the following year. The main part of the park features a hand full of long ponds covering 0.5 square kilometers and storing 400,000 cubic meters of water.
In 2006, a dam, bridge, sightseeing road and public square were built, among other facilities, as part of an improvement project.
The park is also home to a great number of flowers and trees. On warm days, with the flowers in bloom and the trees heavy with flourishing leaves, the park is an entertainment destination for visitors.
