Hebei's imports and exports both experienced double-digit growth in January. Imports went up 37.1 percent year-on-year to $1.18 billion and exports jumped by 34.5 percent to $1.65 billion.
The increase was boosted by growth in exports of bulk stock and high-tech products. Steel exports surged 63.6 percent to $210 million, and the value of high-tech products doubled.
The EU, the United States, and Russia are the province’s top three importers. Exports to the EU went up a stunning 65.7 percent to $440 million.
