The Eighth Standing Committee of Tangshan Municipal Committee held the 115th meeting, which informed the latest progress of the Sino-Japanese Caofeidian Eco-Industrial Park project, studied & planed the next steps forward and, discussed the "policies and regulations of Tangshan Municipal People's Government on Encouraging Enterprises to Enter the Sino-Japanese Caofeidian Eco-Industrial Park”.
The meeting made an emphasis on the need to seize the opportunity and take that advantage to give the city of Tangshan the power to promote the building of Sino-Japanese Caofeidian Eco-Industrial Park.
Zhao Yong, Hebei Provincial Committee and Party Secretary of Tangshan chaired the meeting. Members of Municipal Standing Committee attended the meeting.
Tangshan Municipal People's Congress, Tangshan Municipal Government, Members of Tangshan Municipal CPPCC and chief of Tangshan Municipal Public Security attended the meeting. It was noted that at the end of May 2010, Premier Wen Jiabao visited Japan, and reached to an agreement with the prime minister of Japan, Hatoyama Fuda, to jointly build the Caofeidian Eco-industrial Park.
The construction of the industrial park is the two countries’ joint implementation of the Copenhagen Agreement, the two countries’ joint respond to global climate change, the acceleration of the construction of the East Asian Community, a major move to promote China-Japan strategic and mutually beneficial relations, a main progress to accelerate the China-Japan economic and trade cooperation transformation.
In the loving care of the CPC Central Committee and State Council, with the support of relevant state ministries and commissions, under the provincial government’s direct leadership and, through the unremitting efforts of all aspects, the Sino-Japanese Caofeidian Eco-Industrial Park project has entered a new stage from a conceptual plan and all work is in order.
