On November 3, Qinhuangdao Municipal Government, Beijing Chaoyang Wanke Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. and Hebei Baocheng Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. held a contract signing ceremony and signed a framework agreement for strategic cooperation in real estate development projects within Beidaihe New Area and Lingang Industrial Cluster.
Li Hongwei, a standing member of the municipal party committee and first deputy mayor, expressed his welcome to the signing enterprises. He said the city had a well established reputation for its plesant natural environment, which could be considered one of the city’s “core competencies”. The city’s ecological environment sets it apart from other areas not just within the Bohai Rim region but throught Northeast and North China. Over the years, the city has been devoted to converting this environmental advantage into economic advantage. Centering on the general objective of shaping Qinhuangdao into a rich, civil and harmonious city suitable for residents, businessmen and tourists, the city is vigorously implementing a strategy of developing the city as a tourist destination. The aim is to, build a modern industrial system with the tourism industry at the center, and multiple industries supporting each other and developing hand in hand.
Li Hongwei expressed that the contract signing with the two companies was taking place at just the right time. The provincial government named Qinhuangdao as an important member of the coastal economic belt and had rendered unprecedented preferential policies and support to the city. In the course of urbanization, the real estate development enterprises will also shift their business from unitary residence projects to integrated development, including tourism projects. The city and the two enterprises have one consistent vision. “We want to entrust the development of the best resources to the best enterprises, jointly develop the best platforms, give full play to our unique advantages, accelerate urban construction, improve the urban environment and enhance overall competitiveness.”
Mao Daqing who signed the contract on behalf of Wanke expressed that Qinhuangdao was a strategic city for Wanke’s development in depth and breadth. The signing of this framework agreement progressed quickly from negotiation to contract signing. The agreement specifies some concrete content of the projects. Wanke will do its best to build influential large projects, good projects, and inject brand vitality for the urban development of Qinhuangdao. |
