Hebei Port Group achieved an accumulated throughput of 300.01 million tons by Thursday, 14 days ahead of last year’s record, rising 5.5 percent year on year and fulfilling the 11th Five-Year target.
Hebei Port Group, formally named Qinhuangdao Port Group, founded last July and based in Shijiazhuang, the capital city of Hebei province, has been the world’s largest bulk cargo carrier since 2008.
This good performance is credited to the improved managing and service-providing ability of the establishment. Its three subordinate ports Qinhuangdao port, Caofeidian ore terminal and Huanghua integrated harbor have all contributed a great deal through their enhanced coordination and scientific division of work.
Among the 300.01 million tons of throughput, the coal throughput achieved 213.6 million tons, an increase of 10.3 percent year on year.
