The High-Tech professors' seminar at the College of Environment and Chemistry, Yanshan University has recently published a paper about an important accomplishment in superfine platinum nano-wire research in the Journal of the American Chemical Society.
The seminar synthesized platinum nano-wire with a diameter of just 1.8nm and length-diameter ratio over 10,000, with the linear organization of Insulin fiber and special active genes. Up until now, it is still the first superfine platinum nano-wire in the world of such length-diameter ratio.
Owing to its big length-diameter ratio and high catalytic activity, platinum nano-wire can greatly reduce the dosage of platinum catalysts and be widely applied to the fuel battery, biosensor and petrochemical industry. |
