The Hebei Human Resources and Social Security Bureau provided placards to the first 20 post-doctoral innovation bases set up in 2011. They include the Hebei Sailhero Environmental Protection Hi-Tech Co. Ltd., Hebei Academy of Sciences, and Shijiazhuang Steel Co. Ltd. among others.
Hebei established the first post-doctoral innovation bases in order to accelerate technology innovation in enterprises and public institutions. The enterprises that have post-doctoral innovation bases recruit post-doctors in a similar way as national post-doctoral scientific research workstations. When post-doctoral innovation bases and post-doctoral stations jointly recruit post-doctors, the stations are responsible for the management of post-doctors who may be as old as 43. Post-doctors who are recruited by bases can apply for Hebei postdoctoral scientific research project funding. |
