The State Council's Taiwan Affairs Office and Hebei provincial government signed a memorandum in Beijing to promote exchange and cooperation between Hebei and Taiwan on September 4.
According to the memorandum, the two parties will establish a system of close cooperation and utilize their respective advantages and unique features. The agreement will increase the level of exchange and cooperation between the two sides.
Exchange and cooperation will be strengthened in the following aspects: trade and business, cultural exchanges, publicity toward Taiwan, protection of Taiwan compatriots’ legitimate rights and interests, and training improvements for leading cadres.
Wang Yi, director of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council’s Taiwan Affairs Office, and Zhang Qingwei, deputy secretary-general of the CPC Hebei Provincial Committee, jointly attended the signing ceremony. |
