The seventh International Pharmaceutical Exhibition got off to a good start at the convention and exhibition center in Shijiazhuang, capital of Hebei province, on Nov 26. A total of 2,300 business people from 299 pharmaceutical manufacturers from home and abroad took part in the event.
This year’s exhibition aims to propel economic and trade exchanges and cooperation in the pharmaceutical industry. It also seeks to improve the level of overall development in the industry.
This year’s exhibition theme is “Openness, Exchange, Cooperation and Development”. This year’s exhibition covers an area of 11,000 square meters with 420 total booths. Famous domestic and foreign pharmaceutical companies are taking part in the exhibition.
Shijiazhuang is an important global vitamin and antibiotic production base and the largest abamectin production base in Asia. So far, five enterprises in Shijiazhuang have been ranked among China’s top 100 pharmaceutical enterprises. Eight Shijiazhuang enterprises have gone public. The biological and pharmaceutical industry has become an important backbone to drive Shijiazhuang’s economy.
