Inner Mongolia and Shanxi cooperate on tourism

North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region will carry out regional tourism cooperation with Shanxi province, said the region's tourism bureau on April 28.

Shanxi is adjacent to Inner Mongolia. Both regions are significant tourism destinations and sources of tourists for each other. Based on the advantage, the tourism authorities in Inner Mongolia and Shanxi will work towards regional tourism integration through cooperation in routes development, tourism projects, scenic spot construction, media, Internet, barrier-free travel, safety and legal enforcement, and professional growth.

Inner Mongolia and Shanxi have planned several travel routes jointly. They will work together to promote both domestic and overseas tourism markets and improve both parties'tourism brands and images.

The tourism organs of both regions will cooperate with transport and communication organs to achieve barrier-free travel throughout Inner Mongolia and Shanxi.
