Introduction:
This Exposition, which has State Council backing with sponsorship from the Ministry of Commerce, National Development and Reform Commission, and the Jilin provincial government, has been held nine times and has seen at least 2.7 million visitors. It has attracted business people from more than 100 countries and from many Fortune 500 companies, as well as 859 officials at or above the vice-ministerial level, and has done $6.9 billion worth of trade and has seen 2,170 projects signed. It has become a top site for dialogues and national and personal diplomacy, economic and political cooperation, and cultural exchanges, especially among Northeast Asian countries.
Because there will be a 10th China-Northeast Asia Expo, in 2015, this year's Commodities Fair is intended to meet various economic and trade development needs and to provide professional and practical services for small to mid-sized enterprises in Northeast Asia with the focus on imports and exports. It is a site for economic and trade cooperation in Northeast Asia and for business matching, product promotion, and sales.
Pavilion:
It has a Painting, Calligraphy and Stamps Pavilion covering a 2,800-square–meter space for paintings, calligraphy and rare stamps from Northeast Asian countries and a Taiwan Commodities pavilion on a 4,550-sq-m space for the foodstuff, cultural innovation, electronics, and light industry goods from Taiwan. The Northeast Asian Commodities Pavilion, on a 4,550-sq-m space displays high-tech, electronic, textile, food, cultural and sporting goods from DPRK, Japan, ROK, Mongolian and Russian.
The Suzhou Commodities Pavilion covers an area of 4,550 sq m, with new, high-quality brands from the city of Suzhou. The Import and Domestic Commodities Pavilion, covering an 8,000-sq-m area, displays food, beverages, electronics and light industry products, and daily commodities from Europe, the US, SE Asian countries and China, and the Pharmaceuticals and Health Commodities Pavilion, which covers a 9,000-sq-m space has Chinese and western patent medicines, health care products and medical equipment. The Outdoors Leisure, Tourism and Culture Industries Pavilion covers a 12,000-sq-m area with sports equipment, clothing, fitness and amusement equipment and facilities, leisure furniture, and tourism products, and, the International Automobile Pavilion, on a 10,000-sq-m space displays SUVs, MPVs, hybrid vehicles and motor homes.
