Service outsourcing enterprises may shift from South China’s Pearl River Delta to Northeast China’s Dalian, officials said.
On Wednesday, the 2010 Pearl River Delta regional innovation and Shenzhen-Hong Kong (SZ-HK) service outsourcing forum will open, staged by the Yuanyang Jinshi IT industrial park.
“This year we will see a very special opportunity. The Pearl River Delta service outsourcing enterprises, especially those in Shenzhen and Hong Kong, showed great interest in shifting the service to Dalian,” said an official in charge of the industrial park.
“We hope to seize this opportunity by sponsoring the forum,” he added.
The forum is part of the China International Software & Information Service Fair 2010 (CISIS), which will be held in Dalian, Liaoning province from June 22 to 25.
Promotional campaigns at the event are gaining in number compared with previous years, an official from the CISS organizing committee said.
As the only national software fair approved by the Chinese state council, CISIS has been held in Dalian for seven consecutive years. Its success gained fame for Dalian in the software community and created opportunities for international and regional cooperation on software and information service.
