The first batch of 10 LNG air-conditioned buses started a pilot run on route 605 in Qingdao, Qingdao Daily reported on March 15.

Qingdao is planning to introduce another 200 LNG buses by the end of the year.

The newly-launched LNG bus is powered by a liquid gas tank that allows the vehicle to run 500 kilometers per trip. Compared to traditional CNG buses, LNG buses are more energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly.
