Qingdao subway Line 2 and Line 3 are still under construction. With its main body structure almost finished, the subway will leave its decoration to the professionals.

The Committee of Experts on Qingdao Metro Design, composed of professional designers from the public design field as well as experts on Qingdao history, was specially set up to finish the decorations.

The Qingdao Metro believes in the values of "one line, one theme" and "one station, one story". It will combine its culture, history and customs with geographical features through artistic design. By incorporating these cultural elements into its decoration, the Qingdao subway will exemplify the city's cultural development.
