Yingxian county, in Shanxi province, has been trying to promote its ceramics and local brands recent years and it recently paid off when it received a Chinese "Geographical Indications Trademark" for its products, on Oct 26, the city of Shuozhou's industry and commerce administration has announced.
By this October, the county had attracted 1.2 billion yuan ($197.2 million) in investment in its products and was operating 16 production lines and had 24 ceramics companies with one-billion products in annual output, or 3 percent of gross national output.
