Comment on "China's railway tech is 'mature and safe'" (Aug 12, China Daily)
I don't think it is necessary to build so many high-speed railways in China. Sometimes it is cheaper to fly than take a high-speed train.
Besides, high-speed railways require massive swathes of land and high cost of maintenance, which, I'm afraid, doesn't seem to be good investment.
