The Qiang people in Maoxian celebrate the first Spring Festival after the tragic quake in Sichuan with full hope. The magnitude-8.0 earthquake that jolted Sichuan on May 12, 2008 took place in areas inhabited by the province's 306,000 Qiang people, including Miaoxian, Lixian, Beichuan, Heishui and Wenchuan counties.[Xinhua/Liu Jie]
