Heavy rain kills 2, injures 110

Heavy rainfall in southwest China’s Yunnan province has wreaked havoc, leaving two people dead and 110 with injuries.

The disaster has affected 220,000 people, resulting in more than 280 collapsed houses and about 1,300 damaged ones.

Over 1,000 people in disaster zones have been transferred to safer areas

Nearly 9,000 hectares of crops have also been affected, with a total destruction of more than 1, 800 hectares.
