Aviation talent to be recruited

One commercial airline company is raising the stakes in the race to build large aircraft in China, announcing today it will be recruiting new talent in upcoming months to bolster its company.

Airline manufacturer, AVIC Commercial Aircraft Engine Co Ltd (ACAE) launched their talent recruitment campaign in Shanghai today as an effort to push forward its commercial engine large aircraft project the business hopes to complete by 2020.

"Talent is key to the project, which requires quality employees from home and abroad," ACAE General Manager Zhang Jian said.

The talent recruitment strategy will be conducted in three phases, first for managers, second for research and development employees and third for workers, Zhang said.

In the next several years, the company has plans to create a research and development center consisting of between 800-1000 employees.

A shareholder company set up in January of this year between ACAE and the Aviation Industry Corporation of China has registered a capital of 6 billion yuan. Currently ACAE has it's the company's engine development plan is being assessed by experts Zhang said.

"It will be soon delivered to the State Council for approval," he said. The plan involves engine development, engine industry expansion, international co-operation and a management model, he added.

Pudong-base ACAE headquarters plans to establish its research and development center at ZiZhu Park in the Minhang District and a manufacturing base at Lingang Industrial Park in Pudong.

"If preparations go smoothly, the two projects will be launched by the end of this year," Zhang said.
