Weizhou Island lies across the water from Silver Beach and is China's biggest, and youngest, volcanic island. It has many distinct scenic spots, including South Bay dock, with its display of fishing boats and fishermen at sundown, or the 140-year old Roman Catholic church, or Turtle Stone Park, and the fishing villages of Xieyang Island. The most beautiful time of day on Weizhou Island is two hours before and after sunrise and from 5 pm to sundown. |
