The 11th China-ASEAN Expo, which will be held in Nanning, China, from September 16 to 19 this year, will continuously set up advanced technology seminars themed around the 21st Maritime Silk Road. It will also select science & technology cooperation achievements between China and ASEAN countries and information of advanced technology programs to display. It will also hold a series of professional forums and conferences, which will further promote communication and cooperation between ASEAN and China in science and technology.

Emphasize the exhibition of important science & technology fields

The advanced technology exhibition of this expo will emphasize the exhibition of technological achievements and products in five important fields (modern agriculture, new energy & renewable energy, biological medicine, electronic information, and energy conservation & environment protection) achieved by China and ASEAN countries.

According to statistics, there are more than 100 exhibitors and nearly 200 exhibition items. Well-known exhibitors include the Remote Sensing Center of Ministry of Science and Technology, China Railway Engineering Equipment Co, Wuhan Optics Valley Bei Dou Holding Group Co, Shenzhen Neptunus Bioengineering Co, and Guangzhou Qihong Environment Protection Science and Technology Co. Physical materials exhibited account for more than 60 percent. Enterprises participating in the expo will have more cooperation opportunities in park projects and advanced technology.

The overall design concept of the construction of the advanced technology exhibition closely focuses on the construction theme of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, reflects science & technology colors, and creates a science and technology atmosphere. It comprehensively shows a new image of innovation, cooperation and development through liberal and novel modeling and multimedia.

Urge technology transfer and innovation cooperation

The advanced technology seminar of this expo provides more activities and practical content. By relying on the expo platform, it emphasizes service for enterprises and promotes combination of production, study and research to facilitate a series of key project cooperations.

The second China—ASEAN Technology Transfer and Innovation Cooperation Conference is the key activity of the advanced technology seminars. With the theme of "innovation, cooperation and development," it focuses on five key fields for technological cooperation between China and ASEAN countries (modern agriculture, new energy and renewable energy, biological medicine, electronic information, and energy conservation and environment protection). Combining key industry transfer and smart standard matchmaking services between China and the ASEAN, it organizes a series of activities (including exhibition and display, industry analysis, key projects promotion, technology matchmaking discussion and forum discussion) in order to continuously deepen communication and cooperation of enterprises and institutions between China and the ASEAN.

The conference planned main activities with a 3+3+2 structure, namely three core activities (the High-Level Cooperation Forum such as the ASEAN Cooperation Demand Promotion in Industry Technology, the Advanced Technology Exhibition of the 11th China-ASEAN Expo, and the China - ASEAN Technology Matchmaking Symposium), three professional forums (the China-ASEAN Science and Technology Innovation Policy Seminar, the China - ASEAN Agricultural Science and Technology High-Level Forum, and the China - ASEAN Beidou Technology Transfer Seminar) and inspections of two key parks (China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park and Baise National Agricultural Science Park).

By careful organization of cooperation demand promotion in industry technology for ASEAN countries, the performance of the industry parallel forum and the combination of promotion of key parks in Guangxi province, it emphasized the characteristics of "specialty" and "effectiveness" in two aspects (China - ASEAN key industries transfer and smart standard matchmaking services).

Four fairs of the China - ASEAN Technology Matchmaking Symposium, including the new energy and energy conservation & environmental protection fair, will emphasize the organization for discussion among institutions and enterprises in key fields of China and ASEAN countries for cooperation. At present, about 100 projects have been received, including more than 30 ASEAN projects and over 60 domestic projects. The expo is engaged in pre-matchmaking. Five technology matchmaking symposiums will be arranged during the expo.

The China - ASEAN Beidou Technology Transfer Seminar will organize authorities, scholars and professionals in the industry to discuss how to enlarge and strengthen technology transfer and industrial cooperation in Beidou and geospace industry fields of China and ASEAN countries, as well as speed up the construction of the science and technology service system of Beidou and the geospace information industry.

The expo will also organize and arrange representatives participating in the expo to inspect China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park, listen to park projects promotions on site, and communicate and negotiate with park enterprises, thus promoting communication and cooperation.
