China-ASEAN Commercial Law Services Cooperation Seminar discussed the bilateral cooperation in commercial law services, helping the enterprises have solutions to the problems they encounter in the bilateral trade and investment cooperation. It adopted the China-ASEAN Commercial Issues Mediation Center and planned for relevant training workshops and tasks for the coming 5 years, aiming to solve the actual problems confronted with enterprises for trade and investment cooperation. The Business Lunch provided the business leaders with a relaxing environment to talk freely. In addition, in line with the current development of the economic and trade cooperation between China and ASEAN and expectations raised by the businesses, the 13th CABIS launched the Cross-border E-commerce Platform and released the Research Report on China-ASEAN (Cambodia, Lao PDR, Myanmar and Vietnam), providing better services for the business community.

IV. The 13th CAEXPO attracts keen attention and further enhances its recognition and influence

Chinese and international mainstream media and professional media have placed keen attention to the 13th CAEXPO. 1226 journalists with 205 media from 22 countries and regions have come to cover the event, with increasingly larger number of news articles published. Apart from the Chinese and ASEAN media, we have seen more journalists from the countries along the Belt and Road. According to incomplete statistics, till morning of September 21, Chinese and ASEAN media have totally published 157,000 CAEXPO-related news articles and 26 special reports on the internet, greatly enhancing the brand recognition of the event. The Focus on CAEXPO: Asia Media Forum has been arranged for the Asian mainstream media to use the CAEXPO as a platform to strengthen exchanges and cooperation and reach consensus on building the Belt and Road.

V. Preliminary Arrangement of the 13th CAEXPO and the 13th CABIS

1. Dates: September 23-26, 2016

2. Country of Honor: Viet Nam

According to the Country of Honor mechanism, one ASEAN country will act as the Country of Honor in line with the alphabetic order of the country name. Therefore, the Country of Honor of the 13th CAEXPO will be Viet Nam.

3. The 13th CABIS will be concurrently held along with the 13th CAEXPO.

The above arrangement has been agreed unanimously by the representatives at the Senior Officials Meeting held yesterday.

We believe that, with the joint efforts of all the parties concerned, the CAEXPO and the CABIS will be more and more successful, thus to make new contributions to building the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road and a closer China-ASEAN Community of Shared Destiny.
