China promotes H7N9 detection?

Testing reagents (試劑) for the H7N9 avian influenza virus have been distributed among 409 flu monitoring sites across the country, the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention said Sunday, Xinhua reported.

據(jù)新華社報道，中國疾控中心7日稱，中心已向409家全國流感監(jiān)測網(wǎng)絡(luò)實驗室發(fā)放H7N9禽流感檢測試劑盒。

The center also provided 8 major infectious disease hospitals and research agencies with testing materials and methods for the newly discovered bird flu strain. Testing methods are available to health authorities in Mongolia as well as Taiwan and Hong Kong, the center said.

Two more people in Shanghai and one more in Anhui have been confirmed infected with the deadly H7N9 bird flu, local authorities said Sunday. China had 21 confirmed H7N9 cases as of Sunday evening, with 6 resulting in death.
