Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz to hold parliamentary party meeting

ISLAMABAD - Former Pakistani prime minister and leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif said Tuesday that his party would hold a parliamentary party meeting on Thursday.

Speaking at a news briefing in Lahore, capital city of Punjab province, Sharif said he would also meet Asif Zardari, Co-Chairman of People's Party (PPP) after the parliamentary party meeting.
Sharif said he would discuss topics on the formation of next government.
According to unofficial incomplete results given by local TV channel Geo about the general elections, the PPP has gained the largest number of seats in National Assembly while PML-N is the runner up with 65 seats.
Sharif thanked people for voting for PML-N and termed it a success because of people's struggle.
He said the army's role in politics would end once and for all.
All unconstitutional steps taken by President would be rolled back, Sharif said, adding that the Provisional Constitutional Order, which was issued by President Pervez Musharraf on November 3 last year, would be nullified.
The polling of Pakistan's general elections was conducted on Monday. So far the results of the elections are still not available because polling staff are still counting the votes.
