MUNICH, Germany - South German city Munich had an unexpected warm Christmas Eve on Monday, with the highest temperature reaching 20.7 degrees Celsius.
The temperature in the afternoon came to 20.7 degrees, according to the local Meteorological department. "It has never been so warm on Christmas Eve."
20.7 degrees set a new record for the temperature on the Christmas Eve since when there was temperature record. The highest temperature used to be 14.5 degrees in 1977, which is far below today's new record.
Not only in Munich, but also in the rest of Germany, it is too warm for the time being of the year. Some parts now are facing floods, because of continuous rain and melting snow due to the warm weather.
